Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Nursing is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Mother/Baby unit on the night shift, 36 hours per week. You will assist patients with daily living under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED; CNA certification or patient care experience is preferred, with no experience necessary for entry-level candidates. Duties include vital signs, glucose checks, and patient transport.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: No experience required; CNA certification or patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient with activities of daily living.
• Vitals signs monitoring, and height/weight measurement.
• Performs glucose monitoring via fingerstick.
• Transportation of patients on wheelchair, stretcher, bed, etc.
• Placement of electrodes for cardiac, respiratory and/or fetal monitoring.
• Post-mortem care and maintaining a clean, orderly room.
• Instructs patients and families on safety measures.
• Assists with clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintains stock supply in the patient room.
