Job summary

Merrimack Health in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Float Pool on the full-time Night shift (7pm–7am). The role includes 36 weekly hours with weekends on alternating schedule, base pay range $17.05–$25.34 per hour, and a focus on patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with bathing and meals, ADLs, responding to calls, and ensuring age-appropriate care per policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or five years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Basic Life Support certification; Massachusetts CNA preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish-English is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and oxygen levels.
• Bathing, observation and meals.
• ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
• Answer call buttons promptly.
• Ensures patient care is delivered by age-specific category requirements and established policy and procedure for all patient populations.
• Responds promptly and compassionately to patient needs and requests. Must have a can-do attitude, with a strong focus on teamwork, and possess excellent customer service skills.
