Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL is hiring a Nursing Aide for the Float Pool to support the night shift. This full-time role covers three 12-hour nights weekly (3x12h), with rotation of weekends and holidays.

You will assist RNs with daily patient care, monitor vital signs, document in EMR, and help with transfers, ADLs, and patient comfort. Requires a high school diploma and BLS; credentialing within 45 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Maintain annual education requirements for hospital certifications.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with State Registry.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to be obtained within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Record vital signs, I&O, and other data in EMR; document accurately.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as required.
• Stock nursing area, clean equipment, and maintain supplies.
• Position and transport patients with proper technique; monitor skin integrity.
• Follow infection control policies and use PPE as required.
