Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a 24-hour per week night shift (7p-7a) at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton. You will support a nurse-driven plan of care, assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, and documentation, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

This role requires CNA/clinical rotation experience or current nursing student status, with BLS required prior to hire and a preference for prior CNA experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: Previous work as a Certified Nursing Assistant or, if a nursing student, completion of one semester of clinical rotation in a nursing program.
• Minimum experience: Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and collect specimens as directed.
• Document portions of patient medical records accurately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Support transport of patients and coordinate with the nursing team.
• Communicate patient observations to the Registered Nurse and participate in emergency care as directed.
