Job summary

Applicants must have AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior geriatric or acute hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) required.
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• Other comparable to certified nursing assistant course.
• 1 year recent experience in geriatric setting or acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Admissions, discharge and transfer responsibilities: complete room setup, greet patients and orient them to the unit.
• Provide daily patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse and document as required.
• Follow safety policies, manage equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prioritize workload and communicate plans with the nursing team to deliver timely care.
