Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the night shift in Chicago, IL. This role leads daily nursing operations in the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit, supervises staff, ensures quality patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BSN preferred, and has 2 years of clinical nursing experience with 1 year in supervisory role. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
