Job summary

State of North Carolina - Health & Human Services is seeking a Nurse Supervisor I (S) for third shift at Broughton Hospital. You will lead nursing teams, ensure safe care delivery, and guide staff development while maintaining therapeutic environments across units.

The role requires coaching, mentoring, and experience with evidence-based practices, across the lifespan, including patients with substance use disorders and mental illness.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, mentoring, and evaluating licensed/unlicensed Nursing staff.
• Experience implementing and evaluating evidence-based practices.
• Experience assessing patients across the lifespan.
• Experience working with patients with substance abuse, mental illness, and Intellectual Developmental Disorders.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to promote a professional, caring environment.
• Ensure adequate staffing and maintain safe, therapeutic conditions.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
• Support compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Build strong communication and relationships with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and help implement solutions.
