Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Part-Time House Supervisor to oversee nursing unit operations during 12-hour night shifts. You will supervise staff, manage patient placement and ED throughput, and align staffing with census and acuity.

A Missouri RN license, accredited nursing program completion, and 3–5 years hospital nursing leadership experience are required; BLS/ACLS certifications are needed before orientation.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program.
• Currently licensed in Missouri as a Registered Nurse with required licensure.
• 3–5 years hospital nursing experience; leadership preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications prior to orientation.
• Strong human relations and communications skills; understanding of patient care process.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing unit staffing based on census, acuity and staffing grids.
• Monitors ED throughput and patient placement to the right division.
• Represents Administration when they are not present.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in all duties.
