Job summary

Avalon Wellness and Recovery Center in Lawrence, KS is seeking a compassionate night shift RN or LPN to join our addiction treatment team. You will provide nursing care, monitor patients, and work with a multidisciplinary staff to support recovery.

The ideal candidate is Kansas-licensed, with BLS certification; ACLS preferred. You will educate patients and families, document care, and help patients through detox and withdrawal while maintaining a calm, empathetic approach in a busy rehab setting.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kansas.
Experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation is preferred.
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with empathy and professionalism.
Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation.
Assess patients’ physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as needed.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
Educate patients and families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies.
Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal processes.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
