Job summary

Avalon Wellness and Recovery Center in Lawrence, KS is seeking a compassionate night shift RN or LPN to join our addiction treatment team. You will provide nursing care, monitor patients, and work with a multidisciplinary staff to support recovery.

The ideal candidate is Kansas-licensed, with BLS certification; ACLS preferred. You will educate patients and families, document care, and help patients through detox and withdrawal while maintaining a calm, empathetic approach in a busy rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kansas.
• Experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation is preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with empathy and professionalism.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals recover from substance abuse and addiction. This job would require you to work night shifts from 7am-7pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation
• Assess patient's physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies
• Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal process
• Monitor and manage patient's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas
• Previous experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or substance abuse treatment is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism
• Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies
• BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
