Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to support the Nursing Med Surg department. This full-time role includes night shifts for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

You will provide direct patient care under supervision, perform routine tasks and help maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients and families. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved Nurse Aide I course with BCLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process by giving direct care under the RN.
• Performs procedures under the direction of the RN.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, timely communication of patient information.
• Communicates effectively with team, patients and families.
