Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Elkin, NC is seeking a Part-time Nursing Assistant I for the Adult Acute Care Med Surg unit (IU 2nd Floor). This 61-bed unit serves orthopedic and stroke patients and offers a fast-paced environment with varied patient cases.

The role is PRN, days 7a-7p, with at least one shift every two weeks. You will assist the RN with direct patient care, maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, and communicate patient information

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of State Approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process by giving direct care under RN direction.
• Performs procedures correctly under RN supervision and maintains patient safety.
• Communicates patient information timely and effectively to team, patients and families.
