Job summary

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the Float Pool. You will float between La Jolla and Scripps Green Hospital campuses, assisting patients with daily living and coordinating care under supervision.

The role requires CNA certification, completion of nursing assistant training or enrollment in RN program second semester, English fluency, and Basic Life Support. Night shift, 12 hours, rotating weekends and holidays, with pay range shown below.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or Nursing Assistant training completed or enrollment in RN program (2nd semester)
• One year of patient-related experience preferred
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Medical environment experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal needs
• Collect data and maintain patient safety and organized environment
• Support unit with patient logistics, clerical tasks, equipment/supply handling and charge reconciliation
