Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time, 12-hour night shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports a high-acuity Stepdown/DOU unit and requires BLS certification, CNA credential, and patient-care experience.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to assist with daily living activities while maintaining patient safety and hospital protocols.

Formación

• One year of recent patient-related experience preferred.
• Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English and have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Collect data and ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Support unit with patient logistics, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
