Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the NSICU night shift at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. This part-time role offers meaningful patient care, teamwork with nurses and physicians, and opportunities to grow clinical skills in a supportive environment.

You will support mobility, daily living activities, and documentation, while contributing to a calm, compassionate unit that prioritizes patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of NAI program required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred; one year required for Assisted Living facilities only.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care by supporting daily activities and promoting comfort and dignity.
• Serve as a trusted partner to nurses and providers, sharing observations to support care plans.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and fall prevention to help patients progress safely.
• Document vitals and patient status accurately to support clinical decisions.
• Create a calm, supportive environment for patients and families.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Assist Living units: support residents with daily activities and report changes to the Charge Nurse.
