Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking Staff Nurses for our Pavilion for Women NICU team. In a fast-paced setting you will provide age-appropriate nursing care, assess, plan, educate, implement and evaluate patient needs, and coordinate care with families.

The NICU at PFW offers Level IV care with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have a BSN or be enrolled in a BSN program and hold Texas RN licensure with BLS; NICU/ICU experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or BSN enrollment and active RN licensure in Texas.
• 9 months of professional nursing experience.
• NICU/ICU experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient/family assessments.
• Collect and analyze data from the medical record to coordinate care.
• Assess patient status and anticipate changes.
• Educate patients/families and plan discharges.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the health team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support family-centered care.
