Job summary

Datamtx is seeking motivated Smart Hands + Network Technicians for a major network modernization across 10 Pittsburgh campus locations. This contract role focuses on the physical installation of Cisco Catalyst switches and related gear.

Remote Managed Services will handle configuration; you ensure flawless on-site deployments, troubleshooting, and staging. Night shift 7 PM–4 AM, 40–50 hours/week, July 6 to August 21.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT field services or data center deployments.
• Comfort handling enterprise network hardware and cables.
• Ability to work night shift (7 PM–4 AM) for the project duration.

Responsibilities

• Rack and stack Cisco Catalyst switches in data centers and closets.
• Decommission legacy hardware and prep racks for new equipment.
• Patching, cable management, labeling, and proper organization.
• Perform basic physical checks and assist remote activation.
• Move equipment between campus locations as required by the deployment schedule.
