Job summary

The Multispecialty Sonographer at BSW Round Rock Medical Center performs basic to advanced ultrasound services across abdominal, Ob/Gyn, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal and small parts.

The role includes reviewing patient history, selecting appropriate protocols, and ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining safety and documentation; team training and protocol implementation are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Program.
• 2 Years of Experience in ultrasound.
• ARDMS/AB, OB/GYN, PS, RDMS/RDCS/RVT certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced ultrasound procedures across abdominal, OB/GYN, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal and small parts.
• Identifies abnormalities and extends examination scope as needed while correlating with other tests.
• Assists physicians in procedures and operating rooms; tailors imaging to patient history and questions.
• Prepares patients, obtains history, and explains procedures; ensures accurate documentation.
• Maintains equipment, performs quality checks, and adheres to PACS/EMR workflows.
• Provides training and acts as a resource for team members and new staff.
