Job summary

Pennex in Leetonia, Ohio is seeking an Industrial Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to keep aluminum casting and extrusion operations running smoothly on a 6pm–6am night shift with rotating weekends. You will diagnose, repair, and prevent downtime across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and perform regular maintenance on furnaces and presses.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Five or more years of related maintenance experience and/or training.
• Two to five years electrical experience required; five to seven years preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with welding, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, relay and PLC logic, bearings, gear reducers, and piping installation.

Responsibilities

• Jump on service calls, triage breakdowns, and set repair priorities with plant leadership.
• Diagnose and repair issues across hydraulics, pneumatics, combustion, mechanical systems and electrical systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance on extrusion presses, melting furnaces, casting units, billet saws, and homogenizing furnaces.
• Perform daily checks on air compressors, cooling water systems, and extrusion presses.
• Install or modify equipment to improve reliability, simplify operation, and elevate safety.
• Close work orders promptly and accurately in the CMMS; support upkeep of the maintenance shop.
