Greif is seeking a Night Shift: Molding Material Handler in Carol Stream, IL. Under direct supervision, you operate and set up routine production machinery, following prints and specifications to produce parts.

The 2-2-3 rotating night shift runs 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including weekends and holidays. Candidates typically have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience; strong teamwork and the ability to read job specifications are important for success.

Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Under direct supervision, performs routine activities associated with various types of assembly machine operation and/or setup.

Rotating Night Shifts:

• Rotating 2-2-3 night shift schedule (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
• Including weekends and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates mostly routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Performs mostly routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced.
• Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs mostly basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Solid understanding of the production equipment.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $19.33 - $30.87annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between22.16 to22.16. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
