Job summary

Turner Industries in Norco, LA, is seeking skilled Millwrights for a night shift. The role involves reading blueprints, installing and maintaining industrial machinery, and performing alignment, welding, and repair work at client sites. Reports to the Foreman and follows site safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of experience, and NCCER certification may be required. Pre-employment tests and post-offer drug screens apply.

• 1–4 years of experience in the trade
• NCCER certification may be required
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements per client ( PPE )
• Safety equipment as required by client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection)
• Applicant must not pose a direct threat to health or safety in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment; installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, and compressors.
• Aligns machines using reverse alignment methods and bolts/welds equipment to foundations or structures.
• Repairs and lubricates machinery; may operate an engine lathe to finish parts.
• Assists in grouting equipment base plates and in disassembly/reinstallation of plant equipment.
