Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Core Lab: Microbiology. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week with a night schedule of 21:30-08:00, four days per week and rotating Saturdays. The ideal candidate has prior clinical lab experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous clinical lab experience preferred.
• Ability to work a night shift and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accession and register specimens for processing and testing.
• Maintain high quality and productivity per department standards.
• Follow procedures for labeling and processing; deliver specimens to tech areas.
• Prepare solutions, reagents and supplies as assigned.
• Operate required laboratory equipment.
• Answer phone and paging system as needed.
• Comply with CAP requirements.
