Job summary

Siegfried is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning) to perform routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

You will document results, support laboratory operations, and collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure compliance and timely production while maintaining GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry strongly preferred.
• Experience in microbiology or regulated labs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing per SOPs and cGMP.
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring: viable air sampling, surface, personnel, non-viable particles.
• Collect and process water samples for microbiological analysis.
• Support sample prep, incubation, and documentation.
• Perform media prep, sterilization, and autoclaving.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and GDP-compliant records.
• Retrieve materials from the warehouse and support operations.
• Operate autoclaves and verify instrument calibration.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and other departments.
• Participate in investigations and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
