Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a Night Shift Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials at our facility. You will read work orders, operate conveyors, and use an RF scanner to record movements, ensuring accurate inventory data.

The role involves forklift operation, stacking and securing loads, and communicating with supervisors and spotters to coordinate trailer movements. A GED or HS diploma and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months’ related experience and/or training.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to move materials.
• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors and shelves.
• Operate conveyor systems and guide them as needed for loading/unloading.
• Use RF handheld scanner / fixed terminal to enter data.
• Load trucks and prepare trailers, including securing with strapping or padding.
• Stack materials in trailers and ensure proper load distribution.
• Clamps, moves, or positions conveyor sections for efficient transfer.
• Assist in loading/moving heavy items with pallet jack or forklift.
• Communicate loading instructions to supervisor/lead and coordinate with spotter.
