Job summary

INDUSTRIAL METAL SUPPLY is seeking a Machine Saw Operator to safely move raw metal materials from inventory to metal-cutting cells and learn various saws (plate, band, shear). The role suits candidates with material handling and entry-level machine operation experience who want to grow in a metal-cutting environment.

Responsibilities include pulling inventory orders, delivering materials to cutting cells, and inspecting finished pieces for accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Experience with measurement hand tools (micrometers, calipers).
• 1+ years’ forklift experience.
• 1+ years’ experience operating a saw or other industrial machinery.
• 1+ years in a warehouse, production, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in the metal cutting/distribution industry is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders from inventory and stage finished product for distribution.
• Deliver production materials and supplies to other cells and move materials to cutting cells.
• Inspect cut material for accuracy and defects using measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Maintain stock and label materials; report shortages and help organize warehouse.
