Job summary

Michiana Behavioral Health, located in Plymouth, Indiana, is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the night shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am). You will be part of a treatment team delivering continuous patient care, supervision and role modeling in a therapeutic environment designed to support patients' recovery.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent. College degree a plus.
• Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
• Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.

Responsibilities

• The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision and role modeling to our patients.
• Orient patient to unit and program.
• Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
• Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
• Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
• Assist patient with activities of daily living.
• Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
