Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with NAACLS Medical Technologist program.
• Five years' clinical lab experience or two years with Medical Lab Tech (MLT) certification.
• MT ASCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and provides accurate laboratory test results on human patients.
• Prepares and issues blood components for patient transfusions.
• Assists in collection and transport of patient samples from clinics to lab sections.
• Handles hazardous materials in accordance with regulations to ensure safe working environment.
• Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment as needed for laboratory operations.
• supervises, trains, and reviews the work of students and lower-level technicians engaged in clinical laboratory work.
• Operates complex specialized laboratory instruments and instructs others in their use.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
