Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in clinical laboratory science or related field.
• Completion of a NAACLS Medical Technologist program.
• Medical Technologist MT ASCP certification is required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Performs and provides accurate laboratory test results on human patients.
• Prepares and issues blood components for patient transfusions.
• Assists in collection and transport of patient samples to laboratory sections.
• Handles hazardous materials following regulations to ensure safety.
• Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Supervises, trains, and reviews the work of students and lower-level technicians.
• Operates complex laboratory instruments and instructs others in their use.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work.
