Gateway Regional Medical Center – Granite City, Illinois is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical on nights. This part-time night role offers competitive pay and a night shift differential, with a focus on safe, high-quality acute-care nursing and collaborative teamwork.

Ideal candidates will have an Illinois RN license, BLS, and a nursing degree, with previous M/S experience preferred. New grads may be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to complete required hospital orientation and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to medical/surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify changes in patient condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses to medications, treatments, and interventions and escalate changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge needs.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in admission, transfer, discharge, and transition-of-care processes.
