Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the night shift at a hospital laboratory in Anderson, South Carolina. The role involves performing clinical testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment, operating instrumentation, and maintaining quality controls.

You will join a nonprofit healthcare system serving Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia, with opportunities for continuing education and career growth in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• MLT(ASCP) certification or eligibility, as specified by the employer.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a laboratory team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on patient specimens according to established policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Document results using laboratory information systems.
• Assist with evaluating and implementing new laboratory tests and procedures.
• Help train new employees and students as assigned.
• Participate in cross-training and complete required continuing education.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate use of laboratory supplies and equipment.
