Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a 3rd shift position at the Cleveland Lab. The role involves following testing procedures, preparing reagents, and maintaining inventory in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Eligible for a sign-on bonus; 7 nights on / 7 nights off with a 40-hour week. Requires an associate degree or CLIA-defined equivalent; MLT registry eligibility and ASCP/AMT certification within one year are required.

Formación

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent education and training as defined by CLIA.
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent required.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent required within one year of hire.
• MLT certification through military medical laboratory training programs acceptable.

Responsabilidades

• Follows testing procedures and quality assurance guidelines; documents corrective action for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents and maintains adequate supply of materials; manages inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to set priorities and troubleshoot test systems via appropriate channels.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains clear shift-to-shift communications with leadership; participates in changes and projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
