Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the night shift. This union, full-time role at GWV involves performing analyses, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high standards of patient care in a state-of-the-art laboratory.

Requirements include an Associate degree in a laboratory science with MLT certification or eligibility; military experience welcomed. A $12,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). Military experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports various analyses of multiple specimen sources.
• Provides the highest level of patient care and maximizes patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrates proficiency in obtaining accurate results by following established procedures.
• Maintains productivity and manages multiple work processes efficiently.
• Completes tasks in a timely manner and handles specimens properly.
• Performs instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control.
• Replenishes reagents and supplies according to established protocols.
