Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead in Cincinnati, OH, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. A 15% shift differential and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are available.

The role oversees complex tests, provides technical guidance, and supports the Lab Supervisor in daily operations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of clinical MT experience, a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, and ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist within the designated discipline.
• Foreign educated candidates require credential evaluation (IERF). US-educated require original transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in duties of a Medical Technologist I/II.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP with QC requirements.
• Support lab policies for specimen handling, testing, and records.
• Adhere to turnaround times including STAT/critical results.
• Review QC to ensure data accuracy and instrument function.
• Investigate analytical issues and provide remediation recommendations.
• Assist Lab Supervisor with workflow, training, and performance guidance.
• Optimize production flow and coordinate department problem resolution.
• Maintain clean, safe laboratory areas and equipment.
• Complete training and competency checklists; support annual competency testing.
• Comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety requirements.
