Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and a target foreign language.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, especially in stressful situations.
• Ability to interpret in person and by telephone.
• Proficiency in medical terminology in English and target language.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral and written interpretation for non-English and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.
• Interpret questions, responses and instructions for patients and staff.
• Interview patients to complete required forms.
• Direct patients to appointments and assist with paperwork.
