Job summary

WorkCare in Clay, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the night shift (4:00pm-12:00am). Responsibilities include drug and alcohol testing, clinical support, and administrative duties under supervision. Must be CMA certified with BLS and a valid driver's license. Prior phlebotomy experience is a plus; HIPAA training will be provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Requires CMA certification and a high school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• One to three years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• HIPAA certification to be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Drug & alcohol testing duties including oral fluid, urine, and breath alcohol collection.
• Clinical duties such as vital signs, EKG, audiogram, vision tests, and screenings.
• Administrative duties: scheduling, records management, and phone greeting.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during examinations.
• Manage medical records, supplies, and expiration binders.
• Support workers’ compensation case management and operational needs.
