American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position in Akron, OH. Active Ohio or compact RN license and at least 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience are required.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks with orientation covering ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments. Vaccination requirements apply, with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons; travel nurses may work alternating holidays.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required.
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, all active.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months.
• Background checks reviewed, but candidates with open cases will not be accepted.
• No license hits accepted.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation, with up to 2 attempts to pass.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date.
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement.
