Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital assignment in Ohio. Candidates must hold an active OH or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, and have at least 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience with Epic EMR proficiency.

Expect three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), eligibility for local candidates at the same bill rate, and vaccination requirements with exemptions only.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Tele experience
• Epic EMR experience
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within past 12 months
• All certifications active and in hand

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires Epic EMR experience
• Work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate orientation with up to two attempts
• PBDS assessment waived
• Vaccines (COVID-19 and flu) required with exemptions only
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses exempt from nicotine-free facility screening
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year from previous end date before returning to this health system
• Background check reviewed; open cases not accepted
• No license hits accepted
• Prior assignments may require a break before starting a new contract
