Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PRN night shift in Castle Rock, Colorado. The nurse will provide patient-centered care, perform assessments, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital setting.

Requirements include Associate's Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), active RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care experience. TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows based programs.
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking skills appropriate to patient’s level of care.
• Collects and documents patient health data systematically and timely.
• Conducts ongoing assessments of patients, develops individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Implements interventions from the plan of care safely and timely.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
