Job summary

Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, IN is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) for Medsurg on Nights. This role offers a sign-on bonus, student loan repayment eligibility, and benefits eligibility, with 12-hour shifts totaling 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities include patient-centered care, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care. Prior nursing experience and state RN licensure are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• Licensed RN and BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures and participate in care planning.
• Document care, assessments, and education in the medical record.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safe patient environment.
