Job summary

Dukes Memorial Hospital in Indiana is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for Night Shift in the Emergency Room to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and maintain a compassionate environment for patients and families.

The RN will assess, document, administer meds, assist during procedures, respond to emergencies including CPR, educate patients, and adhere to infection control and safety standards while working 12-hour

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in state or compact required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care per nursing process and hospital policies.
• Assess patients thoroughly and document findings; report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on care and post-discharge instructions.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and operate equipment as needed.
• Document care and education in medical record.
• Rapid assessment and triage in the emergency setting.
• Perform emergency procedures such as wound care and suturing.
