This high-acuity medical center in the Denver metro area is seeking a Night Shift Med Surg RN to join a dedicated team providing complex, high-touch care in a Level I Trauma setting. The Night Shift Med Surg RN reports to a supportive Nurse Manager known for mentoring strong clinical talent. This role works closely with Assistant Nurse Managers, Patient Care Techs, and experienced Charge RNs to support operations on the unit. The nursing team collaborates with multidisciplinary providers including trauma physicians, neurologists, and orthopedic surgeons to support patient recovery.
This dynamic med/surg unit features 42 beds. The Night Shift Med Surg RN will care for a varied caseload, often neuro, trauma, and ortho patients, as well as general med/surg overflow. The unit is known for its professional, high-energy culture and a strong sense of team cohesion. Nurses on this unit regularly comment on the excellent camaraderie, clinical exposure, and support from techs and MDs alike.
The Night Shift Med Surg RN will play an essential role in coordinating and delivering patient-centered care. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, managing patient education, and applying evidence-based practices to promote recovery and reduce readmission. In addition to bedside excellence, this role is responsible for upholding documentation standards and contributing to a safe and efficient shift handoff process.
