Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Findlay, Ohio is hiring immediately for a Mechanical Utility/Millwright Apprentice role. You will assist Millwrights, perform rack repairs, support conveyor systems, and help maintain safe, efficient production in a heavy industrial setting.

Shifts are 12‑hour nights, 6pm to 6am, 2‑2‑3 schedule. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, welding certification, and the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Welding certificate or demonstrated welding competency (MIG/Stick)
• Able to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, and work at heights
• Experience or VOAG training in industrial maintenance is preferred
• Must pass aptitude test administered by an outside party

Responsibilities

• Perform rack repair and maintenance (green tire racks, wing carts, tread trays, etc.)
• Assist Millwrights with repairs to conveyor belts and line shafts
• Provide fire watch and confined-space watch as needed
• Use welding helmet and related tools; operate cutting torches and hand tools
• Adhere to safety procedures; wear PPE and maintain safe work environment
