Job summary

Goodyear Findlay plant seeks a Mechanical Utility to support rack repair, fire watch, and millwright assistance in a fast-paced heavy industrial setting. The role requires welding competency, ability to lift heavy materials, and adherence to strict safety rules.

The position offers competitive hourly pay, a night shift schedule (6pm–6am, 2-2-3), and a $1,000 sign-on bonus with staged payments after the first week and after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Welding certificate or testing competency (MIG and Stick).
• 2 years industrial experience with tasks related to the position or VOAG school completion.
• Must complete aptitude test administered by an outside party.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for rack repair including green tire racks, wing carts, tread trays and related tasks.
• Perform fire watch and confined space watch duties as required.
• Assist Millwrights with repairs to conveyors, belts, line shaft and other equipment.
• Operate tools such as welding helmet, cutting torch, band saw and hand tools safely.
• Follow department-specific work instructions and participate in safety procedures.
