Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Test Operations Engineer for the Artemis program, on the 3rd shift. The role plans, prepares, and executes test activities, coordinating all phases of test prep and execution around flight hardware.

The position requires in-person night shift support, is 24×7, and includes weekends/holidays. Responsibilities cover test execution, equipment configuration, and developing SOPs and test instrumentation procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Ability to work long-term night shift including weekends/holidays.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and access varied heights or confined spaces.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute test activities for the Artemis program.
• Provide night shift, in-person test support for a 24×7 test program (365 days).
• Participate in flight hardware test execution at multiple levels (assembly to spacecraft).
• Prepare and configure mechanical test equipment, GSE, and instrumentation per CTC direction.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and procedures for SOPs, EFCPs, and GTI instrumentation.
• Read and understand detailed test plans, schematics, procedures, and schedules.
