Job summary

Michelin in Woodburn, Indiana, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Experienced Professional) to provide mechanical technical support for maintaining equipment in their BF Goodrich Tire Plant. The role collaborates with methods, reliability teams, breakdown engineers, and maintenance crews to keep production online and improve maintenance performance.

The candidate will apply Total Process Control standards, analyze equipment life, and coach technicians.

Qualifications

Requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills with external partners, suppliers and colleagues.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational abilities.
Proficient use of CAD software and data analysis tools; CMMS experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure maintenance work complies with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Optimize maintenance plans for frequency, quality, and time.
Monitor effectiveness of interventions to prevent breakdowns and keep production online.
Improve breakdown and preventive stop times, and cycle time rates.
Verify efficiency of interventions in terms of resources and spare parts usage.
Support day-to-day operations in the shop.
