Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Maternity unit. The role covers night shifts with potential weekend pickups and per diem flexibility. You will provide direct patient care to newborns, perform assessments, and coordinate with families and the healthcare team.

The position requires an RN license in Delaware, BLS, and preferably maternity experience. NRP certification should be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred, from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN License in the state of Delaware.
• BLS required; NRP certification to be obtained within 6 months.
• Previous maternity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards and responsible assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Performs a comprehensive assessment of the neonate.
• Plans and delivers care to newborns, including those with complications.
• Instructs parents about follow-up care and discharge instructions; documents outcomes.
