Job summary

UPMC Harrisburg, Maternity is seeking an experienced RN to join their night shift team. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for eligible, experienced RNs.

The Professional Staff Nurse, a Registered Nurse, leads and collaborates with the care team to provide high-quality patient care and education across the continuum of care. A BSN is preferred and licensure is required, with opportunities for precepting and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership, collaboration and supervision within care teams.
• Provides patient and family teaching and supports transitions of care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and safe practice in all patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
• Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and families.
• Apply nursing process within Relationship Based Care framework to set daily goals and a plan of care.
• Deliver teaching to patients and families about care episodes and transitions.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research discussions.
