Job summary

Silgan is seeking a Night Shift Material Handler in Fort Smith, AR to support forming lines with materials and packaging according to specifications. You will move products, load pallets, and ensure accurate inventory tagging while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires standing for 12-hour shifts in a non-temperature-controlled environment and maintaining clear communication across shifts. This position is integral to production and warehouse operations at Silgan.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Works 12-hour shifts standing on concrete.
• Able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Maintains effective communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supplies forming lines with raw material and packaging supplies
• Removes product from forming lines and printers
• Loads pallet onto empty tipper
• Completes inventory tags correctly and legibly
• Warehouses product in accordance with requirements
• Conducts all duties in accordance with plant safety requirements
• Responsible for food safety
• Performs other duties required by the QMS, as assigned
