Job summary

Silgan-Plastics in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a night shift material handler to join our production team. You will supply forming lines with raw materials and packaging supplies, load pallets, and warehouse finished goods under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.

The role requires standing for 12 hours on concrete in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining safety and food safety standards. Shift is 7:00pm–7:00am on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Stand for 12-hour shifts on concrete.
• Must work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Supplies forming lines with raw material and packaging supplies.
• Loads pallet onto empty tipper.
• Completes inventory tags correctly and legibly.
• Warehouses product in accordance with requirements.
• Maintains effective communication between shifts.
• Performs other duties required by the QMS.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:Night shift position: 7:00pm - 7:00am (Rotational schedule; 2-2-3)Supplies forming lines with necessary materials. Packages and warehouses product in accordance with customer specifications and/or written instructions. Material handlers report directly to the Production Supervisor and report indirectly to the Warehouse/ Logistics Supervisor.
