Job summary

Bull Moose Tube in Chicago Heights, IL is hiring a full-time Material Handler/Shipping & Receiving. Shift hours are 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and open availability is required.

The company offers a competitive base wage and a generous benefits package including health and dental insurance. You will read shipping pick sheets, stage loads for dispatch, operate an overhead crane, and load or unload pipe and tubing bundles using lifting gear.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of overhead crane or forklift experience.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong verbal and math skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work OT and varied shifts.
• Able to stand on cement floors 8–16 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read & understand shipping customer pick sheet.
• Prepare loads for shipping.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Block loads.
• Operate forklift (as needed).
• Fill propane tank.
• Work safely.
• Other duties as periodically assigned.
• Work cooperatively with others to ensure productive relationships.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Operate scanner to scan bundles being shipped.
• Use JDE system to inquire on loads.
